The Mobile Core Network Manager will lead a high-performing team of geographically-diverse
engineers to ensure reliable and high-performance mobile network operations. The candidate will be
responsible for end-to-end management of all core network functions, including the planning,
deployment, and day-to-day operations of mobile services. The role requires deep expertise in
signaling, voice networking, SMS, data services and international roaming.
Core Network Operations and Management
• Oversee all aspects of operations and engineering for the core network infrastructure.
• Ensure the continuous operation and high availability of core network elements (e.g., HLR/HSS, PGW, GMSC, SMSC) and services.
• Manage and maintain the core signaling components (STP and DRA) to ensure reliable inter-operator services.
Roaming
• Support international roaming agreement implementation including IREG and TADIG testing, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot roaming issues in support of customers.
Network Monitoring and Management
• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the network and supported services.
• Expand and improve existing network monitoring tools and services.
Vendor Management
• Manage relationships with vendors for network equipment procurement, contract negotiation, and service delivery.
• Handle trouble reporting and resolution with vendors.
Team Management
• Lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, coaching, and high-quality delivery.
Innovation & R&D
• Identify emerging technologies to enhance network performance and reduce operating costs.
• Minimum 10 years in telecommunications or related fields with proven success working with and managing mobile network technologies.
• 5 + years managing engineering teams that include operations and engineering.
• Deep knowledge of all generations of mobile technology, SS7/ Diameter signaling, IMS, data services, VAS platforms, and international roaming.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or relateddiscipline.
• Strategic thinker, strong communicator, collaborative leaderand mentor.
