Overview:
Peraton is seeking a skilled Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join our Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Modeling and Integration team. In this critical role, you will support the development, integration, and testing of advanced threat missile and radar simulation models used in high-fidelity defense simulations. This position provides the opportunity to directly impact national security by delivering realistic and validated models for mission-critical environments.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement high-fidelity threat missile and radar simulation models that replicate real-world systems and behaviors.
Enhance and maintain existing models using advanced modeling and simulation tools in alignment with the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC) delivery schedule.
Integrate threat models into the JSE simulation architecture, performing thorough integration and regression testing to ensure operational performance and reliability.
Analyze simulation outputs, validate models against empirical data, and refine systems for improved realism and predictive accuracy.
Utilize technical data packages and intelligence sources to inform model development and contribute to test planning and execution.
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
Foundational understanding of missile and radar systems modeling.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
