We are seeking highly cleared professionals who excel at the intersection of advanced communications infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission assurance—where reliability, security, and performance are paramount. 

Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer - Senior to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. 

Responsibilities:  

As a Systems Engineer - Senior, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Assists in performing initial remote diagnostics of network incidents, often leveraging available tools, under supervision. 
  • Supports the collection and organization of network data (e.g., configurations, logs, performance metrics) for use in troubleshooting C2ISR network issues. 
  • Helps with basic network troubleshooting steps for common issues reported by users or monitoring systems, following established protocols. 
  • Contributes to documenting network incidents, troubleshooting steps taken, and basic resolution details within management systems. 
  • Gathers information from network operators and relevant personnel to understand basic network outages or performance degradation affecting C2ISR transport infrastructure. 
  • Assists in verifying network functionality and connectivity after changes or fixes, ensuring basic service restoration. 
  • Ensures adherence to established network troubleshooting processes and documentation guidelines for assigned tasks. 
  • Supports coordination efforts for service interruptions with technical teams, documenting details as directed. 
  • Utilize the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools: Task Order portal; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate);; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk;; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; lessons learned databases; video library repositories; Archer GRC; eMASS internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams;  
  • Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Microsoft Word; Excel; SharePoint; Confluence; ServiceNow; Jira; endpoint monitoring tools; Network diagnostic platforms... SolarWinds, packet analyzers, SNMP, and command-line diagnostics, packet capture analysis (e.g., Wireshark) Service Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy); network diagramming software (Visio, Lucidchart); network modeling and simulation software (OPNET, Riverbed Modeler, MATLAB) 
Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Network Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a BS/BA degree or 0 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 6 years’ experience with no degree or 4 years' experience with AS/AA degree.
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level 
  • US citizenship is required 
  • DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Basic 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment. 

Work Environment:  

  • Location: Pope Army Airfield, NC 
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking 
  • Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
