Peraton is seeking an Incident Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Kearneysville, WV. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program, for the US Coast Guard (CG). This initiative is modernizing and consolidating the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CGs customers.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in managing enterprise incidents. This role is critical in ensuring the timely resolution of incidents to maintain optimal system performance and security, particularly focusing on enterprise Major Incident Management.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of incident management within the NOC, including enterprise-wide incident management and major incident management.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure swift resolution of incidents.
• Lead the response to Major incidents, ensuring appropriate escalation, timely resolution, and comprehensive communication to all stakeholders.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Document incidents and actions taken, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Develop and implement incident response protocols and procedures, tailored to enterprise and major incident scenarios.
• Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and recommend preventative measures.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on incident status and resolution progress, including detailed analyses of major incidents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant security and operational policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NOC operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure seamless incident management and communication.
• Train and mentor junior staff on incident management best practices and protocols.
