About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative NOC Shift Lead to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior leadership and operational command for 24/7 NOC operations, ensuring availability, resilience, performance, and security of ARNG G6 enterprise networks across classified and unclassified environments.
- Direct multi‑tier (Tier 1–3) support functions and oversee monitoring of WAN transport, core infrastructure, boundary defenses, and enterprise systems via approved operational platforms.
- Lead complex incident response coordination: detection, triage, root‑cause analysis, escalation management, and service restoration to minimize mission impact and meet SLAs.
- Institutionalize ITIL‑aligned incident, problem, change, and event management practices to ensure disciplined, repeatable, and auditable operations.
- Act as senior escalation authority for high‑impact or cross‑domain incidents involving DISA, NETCOM, SOC, CIRT, state/territory partners, and external providers; coordinate synchronized responses and executive communications.
- Establish shift governance standards, validate technical resolution actions, and ensure comprehensive documentation and continuity across operational rotations.
- Analyze performance metrics, outage trends, and risk indicators to advise leadership on systemic vulnerabilities and service degradation patterns.
- Drive continuous process improvement, operational readiness initiatives, workforce development, and exercises to elevate NOC maturity and situational awareness.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
- Relevant DoD/military training (examples: 4‑11‑C32‑255N; 102‑25S40‑C45; 4C‑FA26B; M0923W1; M0923X1); OR
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: SecurityX/CASP+; CCNA; CCNP Security; CCSP; GCED; GCIA; GCLD; GDSA; GFACT).
Required experience and skills:
- Network/NOC operations or enterprise IT operations experience with at least 3 years in senior operational leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in NOC toolsets, monitoring platforms, incident and change management, and cross‑domain escalation coordination.
- Proven ability to lead multi‑team incident response, produce executive‑level incident communications, and enforce ITIL/operational governance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret metrics/trends and recommend sustainable remediation and resiliency improvements.
- Experience mentoring operations staff, conducting readiness exercises, and managing 24/7 shift operations.
Desired:
- Prior DoD/ARNG/NETCOM NOC leadership or multi‑domain operational experience.
- Familiarity with automated incident orchestration/SOAR, network automation/orchestration, and COOP/DR planning for NOC continuity.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
