Program Overview
About The Role

We are hiring a Platform Integration Engineer to provide technical support to a government program. This position will be onsite in Huntsville, AL

 

  • Provide survivability equipment subject matter expertise, technical expertise, and associated systems engineering services for ASE integration on rotary and fixed-wing platforms.
  • Lead the Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) on both rotary and fixed-wing Army aircraft integration processes to include, but not limited to, A-kit design, prototyping, and Modification Work Order (MWO) development, installation support and field system troubleshooting to support ASE A-kit development, test, fielding, and sustainment.
  • Provide expertise to develop/review technical documents related to aircraft integration, interface control, and airworthiness qualifications for the survivability systems development.
  • Author/review Statement of Work (SOW), Cost Impacts (CI) and Independent Government Contract Estimate (IGCE) documentation to facilitate contracts awarded on time.
  • Participate in the development, installation, and checkout of the ASE products A-kits, B-kits, and SW on both rotary and fixed-wing platforms.
  • Evaluate the A-kit developer’s concepts, designs, electrical/mechanical analysis, and studies.
  • Formulate and recommend alternative solutions to engineering and technical problems.
  • Support development of 3D Printed Models for the purpose of on-aircraft surveys.
  • Provide technical input for space, weight and power changes pertaining to each platform.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, technical expertise, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) engineering services in support of A-kit drawing and Modification Work Order reviews to ensure A-kit developers comply with PEO-AVN A-kit requirements.
  • Provide input to management for future ASE Aircraft Integration tasks to include schedule projections, estimated costs, and technical input related to Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) on both rotary and fixed-wing Army aircraft.
  • Provide aircraft integration subject matter expertise in support of foreign military sales (FMS) platform variations of PM ASE Products.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  •  Education: BS/BA with 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, 3 years with MS/MA, 0 years with PhD
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with CAD Systems including; Autocad, Solidworks and CREO.
  • Experience in Surface modeling and manipulation of Point clouds and various generic cad files such as .stp and .stl.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
