Peraton is seeking a Portal Manager. In this postion, you will design, develop, and manage interactive, secure, and data-driven web portals that enable seamless information sharing between FAA stakeholders, engineering teams, and operational users. You will be responsible for building digital interfaces that enhance accessibility, transparency, and collaboration across this mission-critical aviation ecosystem.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of FAA BNATCS web and data portals to support information sharing, analytics, and program coordination.
Create custom web applications and components from requirements definition through design, development, testing, and deployment.
Develop web interfaces and dashboards that provide real-time access to FAA program data, reports, and collaboration tools.
Design intuitive, user-driven interfaces that make complex business and operational data accessible and actionable for FAA and contractor users.
Build front-end applications and integrate them with back-end databases using technologies such as HTML, SQL, Java, Python, JavaScript, VB, ColdFusion, or C#.
Develop secure, scalable, and responsive web architectures that align with FAA cybersecurity and performance standards.
Maintain and enhance internal Intranet systems and external-facing web portals for stakeholder engagement and program reporting.
Manage compatibility and seamless integration with FAA enterprise systems, identity management, and collaboration tools.
Collaborate closely with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and data architects to ensure reliability, security, and data integrity.
Create templates, user dashboards, and reusable components to improve consistency and ease of use.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to web developers and junior engineers.
Monitor system performance and user feedback to continuously improve portal functionality and user experience.
Required Qualifications:
7–10 years of experience developing and managing database-driven web portals or enterprise web applications.
Proficiency in modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL) and experience with back-end programming languages (Java, Python, C#, ColdFusion, or VB).
Experience designing and deploying secure, user-friendly portals for data access and collaboration in a federal or regulated environment.
Familiarity with server software operations, web servers, and application frameworks.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design best practices.
Proven ability to translate user requirements into functional, scalable web solutions.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience supporting cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other federal transportation programs.
Familiarity with FAA cybersecurity and system integration requirements.
Experience developing portals integrated with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of cloud-based web development environments and DevSecOps practices.
Background in aviation systems, mission-critical operations, or safety-focused digital applications.
