Position Overview

We are seeking a Program Analyst III / Technical Project Coordinator to support Technical Project Managers and serve as the critical link between field technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders. This role oversees the administrative and operational coordination required to deliver, install, train, and transition new systems into operational use.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced technical environments and excels at coordinating schedules, tracking milestones, managing deliverables, and ensuring installation and acceptance activities are completed accurately and on time.

 

This position is remote. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Technical Project Managers with project coordination and operational execution

  • Act as the liaison between:

    • Field technical teams

    • Vendors and contractors

    • Program stakeholders and customers

  • Coordinate and track system installation schedules

  • Schedule and support new system user training activities

  • Document project phases, milestones, and deliverables

  • Track customer deliverables to ensure timely completion

Installation & Deployment Oversight

  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and vendor installation schedules

  • Oversee vendor and contractor activities to ensure alignment with deployment timelines

  • Validate:

    • Installation completion

    • System cutover activities

    • Successful Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI)

  • Track and confirm readiness for operational handoff

Transition & Disposition

  • Coordinate handoff and disposition of legacy equipment following new system activation


Project Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain schedules, milestones, and task tracking across field activities

  • Track requirements and deliverable completion

  • Support budget tracking and cost awareness

  • Maintain documentation for project phases and deployment activities

  • Track risks, issues, and mitigation actions

  • Provide regular status reports and updates to leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D., 16 years in lieu of degree
  • Candidate will need to be able to obtain a public trust clearance 
  • Experience supporting technical projects involving field installations or system deployments

  • Strong background in project coordination and administrative support

  • Experience tracking technical project milestones and deliverables

  • Familiarity with IT, engineering, telecom, or system deployment workflows

  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and technical teams

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as:

    • MS Project

    • Jira

    • Smartsheet (or similar tools)

This role is ideal for a senior-level coordinator who understands how technical field work, vendor installations, and customer deliverables connect — and who ensures nothing falls through the cracks during system deployment and transition.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
