Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to join a team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected individual will be responsible for performing analysis of budgets, invoices, and forecasts needed to meet contractual/project requirements assigned portions of the programs.


Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze monthly multiple project variances and prepare financial data for internal program reviews and monthly reports
  • Submission and completion of project setup, revenue and billing process
  • Monitor funding of BPA awards and coordinate with Contracts and PM
  • Support cost proposals and invoice submission
  • Review and approve purchase requests, ensuring proper project and account coding
  • Closely interface with external/internal customers, Program Managers, Program Cost Account Managers, Project Managers, and co-workers on all cost issues
  • Ensure financial and accounting compliance for the program, access financial performance and provide guidance to Program Managers, Program Cost Account Managers, Project Managers, and co-workers
  • Monitor program labor charging and General Ledger for any cost posting errors, then review results weekly with the PM
  • Provide funding, verify and approve subcontractor invoices; provide corresponding reports
  • Support financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, accruals, revenue entries and analysis and incorporating milestone schedules into all activities
  • Perform hardware tracking and data entry between purchase orders and vendor invoicing
  • Perform cost/schedule variance analysis and provide resulting recommendations
  • Interface and present to external/internal customers and coworkers on all cost and schedule issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and FAR government regulations
  • Monitor DSO calculations and take actions to drive cash collection.
  • Validate Backlog Revenue on a quarterly basis adjusting as needed based on customer spending patterns.
  • Provides reporting of key program metrics to senior management.
  • Material management of reconciliation, unit measure invoicing, accruals, deferrals, and tracking
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study and 2 years of experience. 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables, graphs, dashboards)
  • Prior experience working with financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis and incorporating milestone schedules into all activities is preferred.
  • Experience providing funding, verifying and approving subcontractor invoices is preferred.
  • Experience reviewing and approving travel and invoicing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CostPoint, Cognos, and other MS Office applications
  • US Citizenship

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
