About The Role
Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Planner.
Location: on-site at Fort Meade, MD.
Position Overview:
- Peraton is seeking an experienced PSYOP/MISO Planner to support Combatant Command (CCMD) and Unified Command–level planning.
- This role ensures PSYOP/MISO functions, capabilities, and considerations are fully integrated into command decision‑making, contingency plans, and operational planning efforts.
- The planner will shape information activities across the Information Environment (IE), counter adversarial influence, and synchronize PSYOP/MISO with broader Information Operations (IO) and joint warfighting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate PSYOP/MISO capabilities into all facets of CCMD/Unified Command planning, including deliberate and crisis‑action planning.
- Ensure command leadership and staff incorporate PSYOP/MISO considerations into operational decision‑making.
- Embed PSYOP/MISO into contingency plans, operations plans, and mission planning cycles.
- Conduct mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessments to support operational objectives.
- Develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial information activities across the IE.
- Leverage information systems and information‑related capabilities (IRC) to support operational effects.
- Coordinate with interagency partners and the intelligence community to align PSYOP/MISO activities.
- Incorporate cultural, regional, and human‑domain factors into operational and tactical planning.
- Review, analyze, and operationalize IO‑related directives to support mission elements.
- Apply PSYOP/MISO expertise at tactical, operational, and strategic levels, including development of measures of performance and measures of effectiveness.
- Provide expert guidance on PSYOP/MISO integration during concept development and operational design.
- Synchronize PSYOP/MISO with IO, MILDEC, OPSEC, EW, and cyberspace operations.
- Support CCMD planners with knowledge of core, supporting, and related IO competencies.
- Deliver clear, persuasive oral, visual, and written communications to senior leaders and decision‑makers.
- Advise, negotiate, and influence stakeholders to gain acceptance of recommended concepts, policies, and operational approaches.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of planning experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute a bachelor's degree.
- PSYOP (37A/37F) career field or equivalent service specialty.
- Knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP), Military Decision‑Making Process (MDMP), campaign planning, targeting processes, and development/assessment of tactical and operational PSYOP/MISO plans and orders.
- 5+ years of MISO planning experience at the service or joint level supporting CCMDs or Joint Task Forces.
- Understanding of Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force functions and their relationships to CCMDs for coordinating PSYOP/MISO actions.
- Experience with joint or combined military operations and inter-agency coordination.
- Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army doctrine, regulations, and policies, with the ability to recommend changes to policy, force structure, and command relationships.
- Proficiency integrating PSYOP/MISO capabilities into cyber plans and operations.
- Knowledge of military command relationships and C2 procedures.
- Ability to coordinate PSYOP/MISO actions within proper channels and develop policies aligned with C2 principles.
- Experience integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent/supporting operations and related capabilities.
- Familiarity, certification, or operational experience in:
- Military Deception (MILDEC)
- OPSEC
- Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Cyberspace operations
- Coordinating intelligence requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must possess a current U.S. Passport.
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
Preferred:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance based on a current background investigation;
- Recent joint or service‑level Information Operations planning experience.

- Current CI Polygraph.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range
Details
Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
