About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Quality Assurance Specialist, Senior to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and continuous refinement of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and enterprise QA framework to ensure compliance with PWS, contractual obligations, and government standards.
- Direct comprehensive quality reviews of project artifacts (schedules, technical docs, reports, briefings, MSR inputs, SOPs) for accuracy, completeness, traceability, formatting, and template compliance.
- Design and oversee inspection protocols, audit mechanisms, QC checklists, and CAPA processes to detect nonconformities and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure disciplined configuration management, version control, records retention, and audit‑ready repository practices across program artifacts.
- Integrate QA checkpoints into project kickoffs, PEP updates, transition planning, and process audits; partner with program leadership and functional leads to institutionalize quality governance.
- Perform root‑cause analysis on systemic deficiencies, track remediation metrics, and report quality trends and risks to inform executive decisions.
- Modernize templates, workflows, and review methodologies; mentor QA personnel and embed quality‑by‑design principles across program execution.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
- Relevant DoD/military training (if documented and applicable); OR
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (example: CISSP‑ISSEP).
Required experience and skills:
- Quality assurance, audit, or compliance experience with at least 3 years in senior QA leadership or program‑level QA/quality governance roles.
- Demonstrated expertise designing QA/QC frameworks, inspection/audit protocols, CAPA processes, and configuration/version control governance.
- Strong skills in document control, evidence preparation for audits, root‑cause analysis, metrics/KPI development, and executive‑level reporting.
- Experience integrating QA into program lifecycle activities (kickoffs, PEP, transition) and enforcing contractual/documentation standards.
- Proficiency with quality tools and repositories, and ability to produce audit‑quality records and decision‑grade quality assessments.
Desired:
- Prior DoD/ARNG program QA or compliance experience and familiarity with PWS/contractual QA expectations.
- Advanced certifications or training in secure lifecycle or application security testing (examples: ISC2 CSSLP, GIAC GWAPT) and experience modernizing QA processes in technical programs.

Details
Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
