The Senior Electronics Technician (ACLS) is a senior field technical lead responsible for coordinating and executing site surveys, site preparation, system installation, system cutover, and legacy system decommissioning in collaboration with the customer. This role supports the deployment and sustainment of advanced communication and electronic systems, ensuring installations meet technical, safety, and performance requirements.
The position requires advanced troubleshooting expertise, independent validation of installations, and strong customer-facing skills. The Senior Electronics Technician provides leadership to field teams and ensures work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
Coordinate and execute:
Site surveys
Site preparation activities
System installations
System cutovers
Legacy system decommissioning
Perform independent testing to validate power, grounding, and cabling installations
Ensure compliance with equipment specifications and site requirements
Install and configure mobile and fixed-base radio systems, including:
Antennas
Transceivers
Amplifiers
Power supplies
Integrate radio and communication systems with vehicle electronics, control systems, or IT/network infrastructure
Ensure reliable voice and data transmission performance
Conduct testing, calibration, and signal verification using tools such as:
SWR meters
Wattmeters
Signal generators
Diagnose and resolve RF, signal, and equipment performance issues
Document installation, configuration, and test results
Serve as the primary on-site technical interface with customers
Lead and supervise field technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence
Senior-level experience in electronics, RF communications, or radio system field installation
Experience installing and integrating mobile and fixed-base communication systems
Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna systems, and signal performance
Experience using RF testing and calibration equipment
Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Experience validating power, grounding, and structured cabling installations
Strong leadership and team supervision experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience supporting aviation, transportation, or mission-critical communication systems
Experience with system cutover and legacy system decommissioning
Familiarity with multi-site field deployment programs
Knowledge of network integration for voice and data communication systems
