About The Role

Peraton is seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Network Engineer to join our qualified and motivated technical team supporting the City of New York.

 

This is a hybrid position in New York City, NY that requires two (2) days of onsite work per week.

 

About The Role

 

The Senior Enterprise Network Engineer will join our dynamic Applications, Network and Enterprise Architecture team of network, security and business process management (BPM) Engineers in New York, NY. Our team provides IT network support, infrastructure support, cybersecurity expertise and software to support the goals of the contract, including business continuity (BC), disaster recovery (DR) and BPM based services, product support, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for both legacy and newly installed systems.

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning, authoring and explaining network topologies, multi-site system diagrams, vulnerability management plans and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Acting as a Senior Engineer/SME for Citrix Gateway, Virtual Apps and Desktops plus in-depth network configuration and troubleshooting for Citrix (this is essential).
  • Designing, testing, validating and supporting detailed VMWare (including VSphere) architectures, upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Supporting upgrade, patch, validation and rollout/rollback activities on Dell Windows Servers, Citrix and VMWare.  This includes storage backup and Dell server snapshot activities.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing network engineering processes including configuration management and design standards to ensure uptime, technical modernity, adaptability and sustainability.
  • Performing detailed capacity, load balancing and uptime planning of PROD and DR networks by monitoring and analyzing network performance and availability.

** This role requires flexibility with scheduled support of occasional Service Level Agreement (SLA) outages after hours and on weekends **

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Hands-on enterprise scale IT infrastructure and operations experience, including managing complex environments covering business continuity (BC) needs as well as primary and disaster recovery (DR) sites. This includes documentation, periodic review, testing, and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience implementing and troubleshooting Citrix networks – including but not limited to Gateway, StoreFront, Virtual Apps and Desktops, security configuration and Load Balancing.
  • Acts as a Senior Engineer/SME for VMWare (and VSphere) covering business continuity (BC), primary and disaster recovery (DR) sites providing scalable, flexible well-documented designs and test plans
  • A current/valid IAT LVL III Certification (Security+ CE, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, and CCSP).
  • Setup and implementation of a Vulnerability Management solution
  • Excellent verbal, written, documentation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Experience using Qualys in an enterprise network configuration.
  • Advanced Network monitoring, SIEM, EDR and log analysis tools experience with the ability to deploy and improve the current results of these systems.
  • Government client experience is preferred

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
