Program Overview
About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team. The Senior Product Manager is a seasoned professional responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, and success of product initiatives within an organization.  This role combines deep product expertise with leadership and collaboration skills to ensure the delivery of high-value products that meet customer needs and business objectives.

 

This Senior Product Manager will operate with significant autonomy, leading cross-functional teams and influencing product decisions across the organization.  They focus on developing the executing product strategies, analyzing market trends, and making data-driven decisions to guide product development.

 

What you will do:

  • Mentor and guide product managers and other team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • the Senior Product Manager for Cloud Observability, you'll own the vision, roadmap, and execution for observability on AWS.
  • Will work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders to understand how Datadog can better observe, govern, and operate their cloud-based applications.
  • Partner and DevOps teams to streamline the product development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
  • Ensure alignment on technical feasibility, scalability, and reliability of product features.
  • Work closely with Principal Engineers to align product vision with technical strategy.
  • Collaborate on high-level architectural decisions that impact product scalability and long-term success.
  • Build relationships with other Datadog Subject Matter Experts and identify new opportunities to broaden product portfolio.
  • Implement and refine agile methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality. Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

  • Reviewing and prioritizing product requirements;

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or 9 years of experience and a HS Degree/Diploma.
  • Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills to assess market opportunities, evaluate product performance, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking to anticipate future challenges and opportunities in product development and market trends.
  • Ability to balance short-term needs with long-term product vision and scalability goals.
  • End-to-end ownership of the product(s) from the development lifecycle (i.e., ideation to release) and lifecycle management to grow the business (analytics, usage, strategy)
  • Defining the vision and business strategy for new products.
  • Must have experience in Identifying and tracking KPIs and using them as a cornerstone for communicating to stakeholders, and the teams focus and priorities. Can communicate technical requirements as needed (i.e., understand the tech behind the product well).
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of customers and users, gathering key insights that will shape the product experience. Balancing those with the limitations defined by key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies, including agile frameworks. 
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust 6C clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in product design or engineering

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
