Program Overview
This program is an SI/SETA contract that combines two classified contracts, providing 114 staff covering multiple technical and business disciplines to execute Systems Engineering/Integration, Mission Planning, and Business Operations for the Restricted customer.
About The Role

The Sr SETA is expected to review the designs and technical approaches to assist the customer with technical assessments on the viability and suitability of the design approaches. The engineer is expected to utilize systems engineering skills to support customer-integrated, deployable systems and internal processes. They will also be expected to provide recommendations to improve the probability of success.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide recommendations on current systems to include enhancements and innovations
  • Provide systems engineering support to projects 
  • Identify and assess technical risks and provided recommendations for mitigations
  • Provide independent assessment of projects
  • Develop test strategies for the evaluation of systems
  • Attend design, monthly, and other reviews, document results of these meetings, solicit and integrate comments from the customer, and provide recommendations to the customer project manager
  • Fully document all developmental requirements and deliver to the customer for evaluation
  • Assist in the review and assessment of deliverables
  • Perform engineering analysis of system architecture requirements and proposed RF design
  • Employ digital signal processing 
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with relevant polygraph
  • Bachelors' degree in an engineering or other related technical discipline
  • 12 years of experience in the design, development, and testing of hardware, or master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in systems engineering processes
  • Systems engineering and technical experience of RF systems
    • Be able to analyze and assess the performance of various RF systems
  • Good organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Masters' degree or higher in an engineering, science, or other related technical discipline
  • Experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and development/testing of network communications required across operating systems
  • Perform engineering analysis of system architecture requirements and proposed RF design
    • Antenna design: polarization/pattern/bandwidth, atmospheric propagation, etc.
    • Receiver design: sensitivity, dynamic range, phase linearity, etc.
    • Processing design: edge processing, recording, data formats, etc.
    • Ensure system test procedures and subsequent analysis are based on sound principles of statistical analysis.
  • Employ digital signal processing 
    • Time domain analysis (time-time rasters, etc.)
    • Spectral analysis (power spectral density, spectral rasters, tune-filter-decimate stages, etc.)
    • Use various data formats (complex baseband, power spectral density, pulse descriptor words, etc.)
    • Power/pattern/polarization analysis

 

Travel Requirements:

  • CONUS TDYs to support programmatic reviews
  • Potential OCONUS travel to support projects
Details

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
