Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires a Cyber Systems Architect to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.

This position is located on Homestead ARB, FL.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

The Cyber Systems Architect plays a pivotal role within our IT support team, providing cyber systems support in line with the SIE OPORD.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plans, leads, and manages the design and development of solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems, network challenges, or system administration issues in support of critical SIE needs.
  • Uses the Peraton Digital Engineering Framework (DEF) to establish the basic structure of the system and define essential core design features and elements that drive a system or solution. Incorporate engineering strategies for introducing new technology in the support of advanced data analytics using AI/ML into the customer's infrastructure related to USSOCOM mission support and enablement processes and procedures.
  • Performs cost-benefit analyses and regression analysis to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
  • Applies knowledge of USSOCOM/SIE engineering needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures that these are consistent with the SIE enterprise technical architecture.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and EOM technical teams to design and implement systems using big data solutions, strategies, architectural methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Analyzes systems performance data from tools such as OS and application logs, Splunk and RavenVision to inform optimization of the user experience.
  • Work with visualization specialists to ensure output is captured to help understand complex problems.
  • Performs tier four architecture and engineering support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
  • Develops and documents the SIE enterprise architecture and best practices and provide design and architectural recommendations for long-term/chronic problem resolution, such as MILCON and Installation Information Infrastructure Architecture (I3A) standards.
  • Troubleshoots enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on the network.
  • Ensures that the entire IT infrastructure meets USSOCOM operational needs.
  • Collaborates with teams to design and implement systems using big data solutions, strategies, architectural methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Influences changes to standards and procedures related to maturing the platform and organization, considering, and developing solutions which align with high availability, security, and scalability expectations.
Qualifications
  • Min 16 years with HS Diploma, 14 years with AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA, or 10 years with MS/MA
  • TS/SCI clearance is required
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certification is required

 

Desired:

  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CCNA Cyber Ops, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
