• Write, maintain, and optimize complex Ansible playbooks, roles, and custom automation scripts (primarily in YAML, Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for system configuration, patching, and operational tasks.
• Automate the enforcement and continuous monitoring of DoD STIGs and security baselines across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments using Configuration as Code.
• Develop custom API integrations and modules to connect automation platforms with hypervisors, cloud providers, IP Address Management (IPAM), and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems for zero-touch provisioning.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, network architects, and cybersecurity teams to gather requirements, map standard operating procedures (SOPs), and translate them into efficient automated playbooks and GitOps workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to automation pipeline failures, Ansible execution errors, state configuration drift, and API connectivity bottlenecks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all custom code, automation architecture, IaC repositories (e.g., Git/GitLab), and playbook logic.
