Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

The Communications Project Manager has primary responsibility for managing specific operational actions, exercises and projects assigned by the Government, to include requirements, scope, budget, schedule, and performance. The PM monitors, adjusts, and reports on performance, budget, and schedule. The PM shall provide interim progress review and status to the Government on an as-needed basis. The PM assists with proposing, implementing, and enforcing Government policies, standards, and methodologies and is responsible for either developing or supervising the preparation of plans, studies, reports, and acquisition documents. The PM shall work from the latest Government-approved version of the Project management processes (PMP). The PMP is an evolutionary document that shall be updated annually at a minimum and as project changes occur. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Documenting all support requirements in a PMP and providing it to the Government. 
  • Advising the government leadership on all aspects of garrison and deployed communications and providing technical and project expertise for ongoing and emergent mission requirements 
  • Developing exercise and operational plans to include costs, security and technical requirements, manning, timelines and training goals as required. 
  • Provide all documentation including fielding plans, cost estimates, milestones, tasks, and subtasks required in assigned activities 
  • Articulating operational risks associated with projects to the SOCCENT mission and SOCOM SIE and presenting mitigation options. 
  • Communicating with higher headquarters and down range elements to deconflict ongoing activities and prioritize resources as needed and escalating to government leadership when required 
  • Maintaining the location of technical and project/exercise management documents and update those as needed 
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission 
  • Assist Site Lead with contract management actions as required 
Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA  
  • PMI Project Management Professional 
  • TS/SCI is required 
  • Six years of progressive and intensive experience in management. 
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a position with duties commensurate to those defined in the Statement of Objectives, or five years of specialized experience in a position with duties commensurate to those defined in the Statement of Objectives. 
  • Candidates must have a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition law, regulations, policies, and procedures, including substantial involvement in a major acquisition effort. 
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PgMP) OR PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) OR AAPM Master Project Manager (MPM) 

 

Desired qualifications: 

  • Detailed knowledge of SOCOM’s SIE architecture and systems 
  • Working knowledge of SOF tactical networks and systems 
  • Understanding of various Hypervisors used for systems management 
  • Understanding of enterprise attached network storage and management of that storage 
  • Understanding of Microsoft Enterprise applications 
  • Understanding of SOCOMS tactical communications systems and capabilities 
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
