Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires Network Architects to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. 

This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.   

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.  

The Network Architect serves as a strategic enabler within the Service Modernization and Automation team, supporting the Enterprise Operations Support organization. 

  • Architect enterprise network solutions that support modernization, automation, and mission readiness 
  • Design and evolve network capabilities to reduce technical debt and improve operational agility 
  • Lead transformation initiatives from concept through sustainment 
  • Lead network assessments, gap analysis, and integration planning across distributed environments 
  • Integrate network modernization with ServiceNow workflows, ITSM governance, RMF compliance, and automation strategies 
  • Collaborate with SMA leadership, Process Engineers, Automation Leads, CCs, and TSOCs to align network capabilities with operational goals 
  • Provide architectural oversight across SD-WAN, cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, and endpoint connectivity 
  • Support implementation of network automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and incident response 
  • Apply hands-on expertise in network protocols, INE hardware (e.g., ViaSat), and government-furnished systems 
  • Ensure configuration integrity, document anomalies, and advise on encryption and communications stability 
  • Develop and maintain network design documentation, SOPs, and performance metrics 
  • Ensure network architecture supports resilience, scalability, and continuous improvement across the J63 operational community 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Min 16 years with HS degree, 14 years with AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with a PHD 
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance  
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification,
  • AND CCNA and CCNP certifications 
  • Experience architecting enterprise network solutions in support of large-scale modernization and automation efforts 
  • Background in network design, transformation planning, and cross-domain integration 
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity standards 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with SD-WAN, SDN, cloud networking, and hybrid infrastructure design 
  • Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform) 
  • CCIE or equivalent advanced network architecture certification 
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow integration and network-related workflows 
  • Experience supporting modernization efforts across cyber, cloud, virtualization, and service delivery domains 
  • Expertise in architecting network solutions that enable enterprise automation, service optimization, and mission-aligned transformation 
  • Experience supporting encryption environments and sustaining enterprise network availability 
  • Ability to operate in dynamic conditions and apply standardized recovery procedures across distributed environments
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
