Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

 

Peraton requires a Technical Project Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Position is located at SOCOM in National Capitol Region, District of Columbia.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

Oversees operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, stakeholders and project team. Reviews status of projects, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, contractor staff, and other stakeholders. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Perform day-to-day management of overall project/contract support operations, possibly involving multiple tasks and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
  • Manage project scope by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved.
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports when requested.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members.
  • Make decisions and recommendations based on the business need for each project, and makes ongoing decisions based on what's best for the organization.
  • Ensure all Information Assurance Vulnerability Management updates are tested, evaluated, deployed, and documented for covered systems.
  • Ensure compliance with specified operational parameters, guidelines, and standards set forth by Federal, DoD, Army, JSP, and other relevant entities.
  • Support senior and executive-level management briefings, preparing high-level technical documents and presentations as necessary.
  • Prepare Monthly In-Progress Reviews (IPR) detailing program status, milestones achieved, risks, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement onboarding, training, and validation processes for all staff, ensuring compliance with minimum requirements and certifications.
  • Monitor network performance, proactively making recommendations for improvement and resolving potential problems.
  • Ensure proper tracking, and documentation of all program assets, adhering to government procedures and industry standards.
  • Interface with government personnel and customers to convey project status and ensure smooth coordination and communication.
Qualifications

 

Required qualifications:

  • Min 9 years with HS Diploma, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, or 3 years with MS/MA
  • TS/SCI clearance is required
  • PMI Project Management Professional highly desired

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
