About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Developer, Senior to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate frontend, backend, or full‑stack software components in Agile/CI‑CD environments to support enterprise programs and operational initiatives.
  • Implement APIs, automation logic, data workflows, and user interfaces; develop dashboards and analytics features (e.g., Power BI) and automate processes (e.g., Power Automate) to improve operational visibility.
  • Build proof‑of‑concepts and rapid prototypes to validate innovations, assess technical feasibility, and inform leadership decisions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and code reviews; ensure code quality, security, and adherence to development standards.
  • Integrate applications with enterprise systems and data sources, support API/data exchange development, and follow configuration management and deployment processes within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Produce technical designs, documentation, test artifacts, and operational runbooks to support sustainment and handover.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product owners, QA, DevSecOps, engineers) to translate requirements into working software and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science (MS) or a related field; OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: CompTIA CASP+; CISSP‑ISSEP; AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
  • Required experience and skills:

    • Minimum 10+ years software development experience with at least 5+ years in senior/full‑stack roles delivering enterprise applications.
    • Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks for backend and frontend development, API design, and database integration.
    • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and configuration management.
    • Experience building analytics/dashboards (Power BI or equivalent) and automation solutions (Power Automate or equivalent).
    • Strong skills in secure coding practices, code review, technical documentation, and producing decision‑grade technical artifacts.
  • Desired:

    • Prior DoD/ARNG enterprise development experience and familiarity with RMF/ATO implications for software deployments.
    • Preferred certifications: CASP+, CISSP‑ISSEP, AWS Professional or equivalent cloud/architecture credentials.
    • Experience with microservices, containerization (Kubernetes), cloud-native patterns, and performance/scalability tuning.

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
