About The Role

Peraton is hiring a Storm Force Management Team (SFMT) System Administrator to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Fort Meade, MD. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

 

As an SFMT Systems Administrator on our team you will provide support required to operate and maintain all hardware and software in compliance with established policies required by the customer. This position is technical in nature. The successful individual will perform systems administration in coordination with the ISSO. The Systems Administrator will:

  • Provide tier 1 helpdesk support at an annual exercise event
  • Collect and transfer files between networks
  • Manage user accounts
  • Apply and verify patches on Windows and Linux systems
  • Update Trellix ePO (Formerly McAfee) security files
  • Run and review vulnerability scans and compliance scans
  • Manage configuration control of IT assets
  • Coordinate with event locations to ensure access #MDFSP #AJCM
Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.  
  • Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.  
  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAM Level 1 requirements (Security + at a minimum).
  • Be willing to operate in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision, and possess strong interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Be willing to travel; several smaller trips (2-5 days) per year and one longer trip (2 to 5 weeks) per year.
  • Physical Demands & Equipment: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Experience with Tenable Nessus/ACAS.
  • Experience with Trellix (formerly McAfee).
  • Understanding of DNS.
  • Familiarity with Linux CLI; Windows Servers; Bash and Powershell Scripting.
  • Experience with Nginx and Apache Web Server Management.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience with PKI; Ansible or other operating tools; Linux KVM Hypervisor; Windows GPO; Elasticsearch/Kibana; GIT; Python; RSYSLOG; Nxlog; Cisco IOS CLI.
  • Demonstrate experience with Operating Systems (Windows, Linux).

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
