Summer 2026 Software Engineer Intern - Clearfield, UT

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2026 Software Engineer Interns in our Clearfield, Utah location in support of an Air Force program.

Under direct supervision, the qualified applicant will operate in an internship capacity providing support to Peraton's Air Program Information Management System (APIMS) software development team, to help maintain and develop APIMS; an enterprise Web application that is used world-wide by over 200 Department of Defense installations. The applicant will also have the opportunity to be mentored by an exceptional team of engineers with a collective century of experience in a variety of industries and will become proficient in Web Development using, Java, React, Oracle and other technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• HS diploma and some advanced level training.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to qualify for "Position of Trust"
• Must be local to the Clearfield, Utah area as no remote/telework is allowed for this role.
• Must be pursuing a 4-year degree at an accredited university.
• Pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related technology field at an accredited university.
• Solid programming foundation, primarily using Java or other related languages, from coursework or previous internships.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3.0 and above GPA.
• Current Junior or Senior students strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency using Microsoft office.
• A passion for learning, helping others, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible.
• Ability to create, sustain, and enhance fostering of team dynamics and collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
