Program Overview
Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.
About The Role

The Corp-DDS Operations team is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to help the project with managing Operational Systems, as well as creating and managing dataflows using tools such as Apache NiFi. The team member will review/process DMR's and provide solutions to implement efficient Dataflows. In addition, the team SE would also participate in Dataflow modernization efforts migrating current flows on hardware to the virtual cloud environment. This entails evaluating the current Dataflows, building out requirements, then working with Operations team members in rebuilding new flows. This position requires on call after hours support.

 

Ideal candidates will have experience with the following.

8+ years of data flow experience

Minimum working 12 year’s working within the Intelligence Community working with mission systems and mission data formats

Extensive experience with Mission Systems that process and manage mission data

Experience working with mission data formats

Experience managing hardware and working from the Linux Operating Systems CLI to manage NiFi configurations and perform software upgrades

Experience building out NiFi clusters using Zookeeper

Experience reviewing and processing, or creating Dataflow Management Requests, DMRs

Experience with Apache NiFi functionality for managing and building complex Dataflows

Experience managing analytical needs and requirements

Experience in creating Systems Architectural Diagrams depicting software and system functions

Experience with software such as; Zookeeper, Elastic Search, Grafana, NiFi Registry

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management,

or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be

substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Seventeen (17) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.

Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
