About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Systems Analyst to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assess as‑is, transitory, and to‑be states for enterprise systems and processes; document workflows, data flows, organizational interactions, gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Create and maintain DoDAF‑compliant architecture artifacts (AV‑1, OV‑1, CV‑2, SV‑1, and related views) to support solution definition and enterprise alignment.
  • Develop functional process models, context diagrams, use cases, workflow maps, and business rules to inform system enhancements and modernization initiatives.
  • Manage the full requirements lifecycle: capture, decomposition, traceability, prioritization, impact analysis, and baseline management across stakeholders and technical domains.
  • Facilitate analysis workshops and coordinate with product owners, developers, architects, and project leads to translate requirements into implementable specifications.
  • Evaluate proposed changes for technical and operational impacts and produce decision‑grade analytical reports and recommendations.
  • Support strategic planning, policy, governance, and investment activities by delivering data‑driven insights and architecture artifacts that align system evolution with mission objectives.
  • Maintain authoritative repository entries, version control, and evidence to support governance reviews and accreditation activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:

    • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
    • Relevant DoD/military training (examples: 4‑11‑C22 (CP); 4‑11‑C23; Systems Requirements Planner (Advanced) Playlist); OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: SecurityX/CASP+; GCSA; GSLC).
  • Required experience and skills:

    • Systems analysis, requirements engineering, or enterprise architecture experience with experience producing DoDAF artifacts or supporting DoD/enterprise modernization programs.
    • Proficiency in requirements management, traceability matrices, business process modeling (BPMN), and DoDAF viewpoints (AV/OV/SV/CV).
    • Strong facilitation skills for stakeholder workshops, JAD sessions, and cross‑functional coordination.
    • Experience using requirements/ALM tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Jira) and ability to produce decision‑grade reports and briefings.
    • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills for architecture and requirements artifacts.
  • Desired:

    • Prior DoD/ARNG experience producing DoDAF artifacts and supporting RCAS‑FMS or similar enterprise programs.
    • Familiarity with RMF/ATO implications for requirements and architecture, and experience integrating requirements into DevSecOps/Agile lifecycles.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
