Program Overview
About The Role

The General Information Technology Manager will be responsible for the management of 5-10 system administrators, cloud engineers / architects, and enterprise architects. The team is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware, software, and administering system accounts. This team develops and maintains business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs and develops information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures. This include analyzing business and IT requirements, supporting technology solution designs, to create roadmaps for all Infrastructure related technology which will support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. The team also ensures identified networks and IT align with the complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) and successfully obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) in collaboration with the cyber security team.

 

As the manager, the individual will serve as a technical lead who will participates in the design and documentation of network architecture, evaluating project capacity growth to ensure scalable and flexible core technologies, staying abreast of industry trends and to quickly assess new product implementation opportunities. The candidate will support and participate in architectural reviews and/or audits, defining and maintaining documentation of network and technology standards, process, and policies.

 

As the manager, responsibilities include interviewing, selection and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards. This person will serve as a key member of the IT management team, who will work with other team leaders and task areas to:

  • Clarify/resolve process-related activities for technical team.
  • Monitor and report progress against plans through final acceptance and signoff.
  • Manage, coordinate, and resolve project issues, decisions, and risks.

If the candidate is already on the program, the candidate will maintain Individual Contributor (IC) role. If the candidate is not, then she/he/they would also need to be selected for an open IC role.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong customer and partner relationship building skills
  • Experience architecting across an enterprise multi-account multi-environment cloud architecture
  • Experience architecting and designing technical solutions using combination of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Experience in network design, monitoring, and security solutions
  • Ability to work independently and provide effective solutions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous Management experience
  • Familiarity with supervised/unsupervised machine learning
  • Experience creating enterprise-wide architecture artifacts, design documents, and other formal documentation.
  • Demonstrate experience running a DEVSECOPS Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Development (CD) pipeline.
  • Experience decomposing customer requirements and proposing appropriate architectural solutions.
  • Experience with automated provisioning of infrastructure spanning multiple environments using Infrastructure as a Code.

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
