ServiceNow Developer

Peraton is seeking a ServiceNow Developer who will join our Department of Education's high perfroming Development team. This position is remote.

What you will do:

• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform
• Customizing and integrating applictaion with other systems to meet business requirements.
• Use scripting languages like JavaScript and Glide API to configure the platform, automate processes, and ensure seamless data transfer
• Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications through APIs and other methods to ensure data flow and automation
• You will configure and manage the ServiceNow platform, including user access, roles, and permissions, to meet specific business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and the platform itself
• Providing support to users and other developers.
• Determine upgrade and enhancement parameters and implements following test plans to ensure enhancements are tested and debugged.
• Prioritize, assess, and present options based on time requirements, scope, and cost/licensing considerations.
• Must be able to work in a remote team.
• Creative thinking to design solutions, however solutions to be standard, repeatable, configurations, not highly customized.
• Will communicate effectively through documentation, email, and conversation, with team and leadership or stakeholders.
• Open willingness to share knowledge and provide mentorship as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the degree.
• Five (5) years of experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator/developer.     
• Expereince in deploying and supporting ITSM and ITOM experience, including CMDB and Discovery, with MID server and service portal.
• Experience in ServiceNow development (GLIDE, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, UI Scripts, APIs).
• Aability to listen to stakeholder business requirements and translate to a working, maintainable, technical solution.
• Produce tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, projects objectives, within predetermined timelines.)
• Ability to analyze, detect/identify and troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, and support users of ServiceNow application.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting ServiceNow, debugging, error log analysis and researching solutions.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust Clearance.

• Deploying and supporting ACC in multi-vendor environment
• CMDB Service Mapping
• IRM/GRC knowledgeable
• Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)., XML
• Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management
• Documents and develops procedures.
• ITIL v3 or higher certification
• Microsoft Office Suite and related technologies.
