Program Overview
About The Role

Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Designs interfaces and brings system elements together, so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.

 

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be
in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure). Define stakeholder needs and functionality in a service development cycle. Assist in the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Requires a TS/SCI
  • Requires proven experience with a deep understanding of Amazon Web Service (AWS), cloud migration/integration
  • Requires Strong knowledge DevSecOps methodologies and automating deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Requires some experience with designing and implementing Vmware virtual infrastructure solutions, including scalability and high availability considerations.
  • Requires some experience with standing up ESXi hosts, various versions, AD integrations, time, and DNS services.
  • Requires some experience in the administration of Microsoft Active Directory (create user accounts, manage groups/permissions/access)
  • Requires some experience in the administration of Microsoft databases (log shipping, event management, cluster management) 
  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree

 

Desired:

  • AWS Cloud certifications
  • MCSE certification or other Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
  • Cisco certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with system administration and network administration
  • Experience with Linux is desirable.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of network and host hardening.
  • Knowledge of Splunk is desired
  • Knowledge of Trellix and Tenable security and vulnerability products are desirable but not required.

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
