About The Role

Systems Engineer | Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

 

Peraton is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support a mission-driven program within our Cyber Intelligence Systems business unit. In this role, you will develop and support mechanisms, documentation, and procedures for operational support of core and fielded systems.

 

You will collaborate closely with developers and mission stakeholders to support system requirements, operational processes, and technical solutions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining system functionality, supporting integration efforts, and enabling successful delivery of capabilities across mission environments and external partner frameworks.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and support operational processes, documentation, and procedures for system sustainment
  • Gather, analyze, and maintain system requirements for technical solution development
  • Support deployment and integration of system capabilities across mission frameworks
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for coordination with internal teams and external partners
  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to support system functionality and enhancements
  • Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support of fielded systems
  • Support integration and interoperability across distributed and mission systems

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Seventeen (17) years of Systems Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
  • Five (5) additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current Polygraph is required
  • Experience supporting mission systems and working with mission data formats
  • Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and technical solution development
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a mission environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting rules engine applications within mission environments
  • Experience performing transfer and decommissioning of legacy systems to new systems
  • Experience creating system architecture diagrams depicting software and system functions

    of legacy systems to new systems

  • Experience supporting outreach and integration with external customers
  • Experience with Apache NiFi functionality and building dataflows
  • Experience managing analytical requirements and mission needs
Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
