Program Overview
Supports the transformation and modernization of legacy Coast Guard systems and services including mobility, messaging, ITSM, ITAM, Network Infrastructure, and legacy data systems from on premise implementations to cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. New system and service implementations, including zero trust architecture, to provide leading edge systems that are both secure and accessible.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking an experienced Technical Project Management Senior Support Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.

 

The Technical Project Manager - Senior Support Specialist leads technology initiatives that support the implementation, enhancement, and governance of enterprise asset management systems. This role bridges IT and operational stakeholders to deliver projects focused on tracking, optimizing, and maintaining the lifecycle of hardware, software, and digital assets. The Technical Program Manager is responsible for first-line engagement with customers, units, and district-based stakeholders for the PC as a Service program to ensure full understanding of customer experience. 

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead technical outreach projects related to PC as Service.
  • Engage service stakeholders to provide regular updates, intaking and escalating issues and problems, validating requirements and service needs.
  • Directly supports customers in resolving their unique challenges and reports risks and issues.
  • Oversee enhancements to asset tracking platforms, ensuring alignment with internal policies, industry standards (e.g., ITIL), and compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain asset management tracking platforms, to provide refresh eligibility information about a searched-for workstation and allow users to place an order to refresh their eligible workstation to a work address.
  • Manage the development and execution of stakeholder communication plans, including scope, schedule, cost, resources, and risk management.
  • Work with vendors, software developers, and system administrators throughout the hardware lifecycle to resolve issues with hardware delivery.
  • Ensure data accuracy and visibility across asset repositories by supporting integrations with vendors systems, discovery tools, and CMDBs.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, status updates, and post-implementation reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Provide documentation, training, and process updates to support adoption of the asset management solution.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active secret clearance. 
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience, with at least 2 years in asset management or IT service management (ITSM).
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle processes, software licensing, and CMDB structures.
  • Experience managing enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, or other ITAM/ITSM tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, technical vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project and collaboration tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, and Excel.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on data accuracy and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or ITIL certification
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
