About The Role
Peraton is seeking a System Application Trainer. The System Application Trainer will be responsible for delivering high quality training on enterprise applications and developing clear, user friendly training materials. This role ensures that employees can effectively use internal systems by creating comprehensive learning content, leading training sessions, and partnering with technical teams to understand system functionality and updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain training materials including user guides, step by step manuals, quick reference sheets, and e learning content.
- Deliver virtual and in person training sessions to diverse audiences, ensuring users understand system features, workflows, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to stay current on new features, enhancements, and system changes.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and follow up support.
- Translate technical information into clear, concise language accessible to non technical users.
- Maintain a repository of updated training assets and version controlled documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Proven experience in system/software training, user education, or instructional design.
- Strong instructional design skills, including the ability to organize complex topics into digestible content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn software applications quickly and explain them clearly.
- Proficiency with common documentation tools (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, or equivalent).
- Experience with e‑learning software (Articulate, Captivate, or similar) is a plus.
- Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and translating technical concepts for end users.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Learning Management Systems
- Experience with Learning Analytics
- Curriculum development
- Learning tools (Articulate, Mentimeter, etc..)
Details
Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
