Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a UI/UX designer who will be the design champion within an agile project team. This role will be responsible for interacting with Product Managers, Product Owners, and the Software Engineering team.  The position is a remote opportunity.  

 

This program will support a customer that develops, enhances, and expand defense system capabilities using the Scaled Agile Large Solution Framework (SAFe) processes. The program itself will Vet personnel for security access, suitability, and credentialing.  Preserve clearance, suitability, fitness, and credentialing adjudication decisions, and continuously evaluate cleared and trusted personnel,  integrate and share information with other Federal Agencies and enable shared information to be used to identify and mitigate Insider Threat risks.

 

What you'll do":

  • Working as a UX Practitioner, Product or Web Designer in an Agile software application development environment
  • Work to design and create Wireframes
  • Provide an understanding and experience of Agile Principles including their role in Agile and UX
  • Understanding of Human Centered Design
  • Design using Miro, Axure, Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
  • Using a Design System and component library that maintains organizational standards and styles in typography, composition, color theory, responsive design and accessibility.
  • Coordinating with multiple technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users, interviewing stakeholders and synthesizing their feedback to uncover patterns and themes
  • Prioritizing feedback, creating feature lists and defining a minimum viable product (MVP)
  • Creating visual artifacts such as story mapping and flow diagrams that help explain complex workflows and process
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education:  12 years with a BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA or 7 years with a Ph.D
  • Clearance:  Active Secret clearance
  • 5 Years of direct UI/UX experience creating Wireframes
  • Understanding of 508 Accessibility Standards
  • Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies, Kanban Framework, and Waterfall.

Desired Skills:

  • S. Web Design System (USWDS)
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
