Program Overview
About The Role

 

Peraton is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Operating Unit (OU) Vice President to lead strategic initiatives supporting Federal Civilian Financial Agencies within the Financial & Regulatory Business Unit. This senior executive will be accountable for delivery excellence, operational innovation, customer engagement, and strategic growth across a portfolio of mission-critical work. The OU VP will serve as the principal executive liaison between Peraton and senior leaders across key federal financial organizations.

 

Core Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Leadership & Execution
    • Provide strategic and operational leadership across all programs and initiatives within the OU.
    • Ensure program delivery excellence through technology, operational discipline, and organizational change management (OCM).
  • Customer Engagement
    • Act as the senior liaison to federal financial agency executives, ensuring alignment with mission priorities and building lasting partnerships.
  • Service Excellence
    • Champion delivery that meets/exceeds SLAs and performance KPIs.
    • Implement quality assurance mechanisms and continuous feedback loops.
  • Performance Management
    • Monitor program and financial performance, identifying risks early and managing corrective actions.
    • Drive transparency through structured reporting on milestones and deliverables.
  • People Leadership
    • Lead, inspire, and retain cross-functional teams.
    • Cultivate a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Financial Oversight
    • Ensure fiscal discipline: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
    • Align financial practices with business and contractual expectations.
  • Innovation & Transformation
    • Lead modernization initiatives (e.g., cloud adoption, digital transformation, and enterprise integration).
    • Introduce innovation to enhance mission outcomes and reduce operational friction.
  • Strategic Growth
    • Drive growth strategies: customer expansion, opportunity identification, and capture/proposal development.
    • Partner with BD teams to craft compelling solutions and value propositions.
  • Organizational Stewardship
    • Promote a mission-first, inclusive culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
    • Support talent development, mentoring, and succession planning. 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 16+ years of progressive leadership experience in federal IT, operations, and delivery execution.
  • Proven success overseeing large-scale federal operating units and multi-million-dollar portfolios, ideally within financial and regulatory environments.
  • Deep experience in strategic planning, customer engagement, procurement strategies, and enterprise modernization.
  • Strong track record of delivering operational excellence and managing high-compliance environments.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence and advise senior federal leadership.
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience supporting federal financial or regulatory agencies.
  • General understanding of cloud transformation, data integration, and enterprise platform strategy in federal financial environments.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams and mentoring diverse technical and operational staff.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
