About The Role

Peraton is seeking a experienced AI Strategic Advisor to support executive leadership with AI strategy development, roadmaps, assessments, and recommendations in support of a federal customer mission. This role focuses on continuous improvement initiatives related to AI adoption, governance, and enterprise modernization.

 

You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust AI architectures while ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and ethical AI standards.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

  • Support executive leadership with AI strategy development, roadmaps, assessments, and recommendations.
  • Translate complex AI concepts into business-focused solutions and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with CIO organizations, technical teams, stakeholders, and program offices on AI initiatives.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, mentoring, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Provide technical documentation, operational guidance, and implementation recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to AI adoption, governance, and enterprise modernization.
  • Support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and operational support for deployed AI systems

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years expeirence, Master's degree with 10+ years experience or PhD with 7+ years experience. 
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must have resided in the U.S. the past five years with no more than six months travel outside the U.S. during this time frame
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, machine learning, and enterprise AI platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or similar.
  • Experience with LLM frameworks and orchestration tools such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and memory architectures.
  • Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, data pipelines, and data analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Git, DevOps workflows, and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting federal, enterprise, or highly regulated environments.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud computing, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture, solutioning, or technical advisory services.
  • Experience implementing AI governance or responsible AI programs.

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
