Program Overview
About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative ATLAS Lead, Senior Data Manager to join our team at MacDill Air Force Base, supporting the Unites States Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The Data Scientist will play a critical role in leveraging advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical modeling to support informational support services operations. This position requires expertise in data science methodologies, tools, and technologies to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and enhance mission effectiveness.

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data processes.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, data models, and cataloging for analytics consumers.
  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and frameworks for effects measurement and program evaluation.
  • Coordinate with analytics, intelligence, and operational teams to ensure data accessibility and integrity.
  • Develop and enforce data management policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor data engineers/analysts and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Statistics, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years in data management; DoD analytics experience required, with preference for SOF/MISO assessment data
  • Domain Expertise: Effects measurement, M&E frameworks, measurement methodologies
  • Technical Skills: Data modeling, ETL/ELT, metadata/catalog tools, SQL, Python/R, cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), data governance tools
  • Other: Strong stakeholder engagement, policy development, and briefing skills

 

Desired / Preferred

  • Prior DoD/SOF or USSOCOM experience
  • Experience with BI platforms, data lakes/warehouses, and data security for classified environments
  • Familiarity with data privacy/compliance and CI/CD for data pipelines
  • Experience with IRIS or similar integrated analytics platforms

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
