Program Overview
Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.
About The Role

The Software Test Engineer supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner. These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools. The Software Test Engineer will design and implement automated tests for web applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated and manual testing.

Qualifications

The Software Engineer shall have at least the following experience:

  • Twenty (20) years as a Software Engineer (SWE), demonstrating a proven track record in programs and contracts of comparable scope, type, and complexity.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Alternatively, an additional four (4) years of Software Engineer experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Proficient in crafting precise Gherkin syntax to effectively capture and define the desired behavior of complex systems.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining robust automated test cases to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Adept at analyzing and interpreting test results to drive informed decision-making and system optimization.
  • Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving automation issues, ensuring seamless and efficient testing processes.
  • Capable of performing meticulous manual test verification when required, ensuring comprehensive validation of system functionality.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in cross-disciplinary teams, contributing to innovative and cohesive solutions.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, enabling effective coordination with teammates to design and implement advanced automation frameworks.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance required

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of test automation tools or willingness to learn (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium)
  • Experience writing tests in programming languages or willingness to learn (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Understanding of web technologies or willingness to learn (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL)
  • Experience designing and implementing automated systems to perform software testing
  • Experience identifying and replicating errors in automation scripts
  • Experience planning, executing, and analyzing test data to verify the performance and efficiency of system

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
