About The Role

The Peraton Health, State and Local Sector is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst Advisor to lead the evaluation, optimization, and transformation of our business systems and workflows. In this lead role, you will act as a strategic partner and primary liaison between business stakeholders and our technical teams. You will be responsible for driving the requirements lifecycle for complex initiatives, identifying strategic process improvements, and mentoring junior team members. 

The ideal candidate is a high-level problem solver with deep technical acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-level system solutions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Requirements Leadership: Lead cross-functional requirements gathering sessions for complex initiatives. Translate high-level business goals into comprehensive functional specifications, technical requirements, and strategic roadmaps. 
  • Process Transformation & Gap Analysis: Evaluate enterprise-wide business processes and system architectures to identify critical gaps, redundancies, and inefficiencies. Design and propose scalable, future-state workflow solutions. 
  • End-to-End Delivery & QA Oversight: Oversee the functional testing and validation of complex system features. Define user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and collaborate with others to ensure enterprise deliverables match business requirements. 
  • Documentation Excellence & Mentorship: Establish best practices for business documentation, including advanced user stories, use cases, and complex data/process flow diagrams. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior or mid-level analysts on the team. 
Qualifications
  • Experience: 8+ years of professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a demonstrated history of leading large-scale or enterprise-level system implementations. 
  • Requires 8+ years of experience with BS/BA, or a High School diploma with 12 years of experience. 
  • Testing & UAT Leadership: Proven experience defining UAT strategies, writing complex test scenarios, and leading cross-functional teams through validation and system sign-off. 
  • Methodologies & Frameworks: Deep expertise in software development lifecycles (SDLC), with extensive experience driving projects within Agile, Scrum, Scaled Agile (SAFe), or hybrid environments. 
  • Advanced Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate competing priorities, and articulate complex concepts to all audiences.
  • US Citizen: Must be a US Citizen and have the abilty to obtain a Public Trust.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced Tooling Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in managing and structuring project spaces within Jira, Confluence, or equivalent enterprise product management suites. 
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or advanced Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager) are highly desirable. 
  • Experience with Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, DME or Medicare Common Working File (CWF) specific processing systems preferred.  

 

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
