Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a visionary, mission-driven Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead innovation across our Cyber & Intelligence (C&I) Sector. This is a high-impact executive role for a forward-leaning technology leader who thrives at the intersection of advanced cyber capabilities, intelligence systems, and next-generation digital transformation.

Reporting directly to the Sector President and partnering with senior leadership, the CTO will define and execute a bold technology vision that accelerates growth, drives technical differentiation, and positions Peraton at the forefront of cyber, AI, intelligence and information warfare innovation.

You will serve as the architect of our future—anticipating emerging threats, harnessing disruptive technologies, and translating mission needs into scalable, differentiated solutions that win in a highly competitive federal landscape.

Shape the Future of Cyber & Intelligence Technology

  • Define and lead a comprehensive, forward-looking technology strategy aligned to mission priorities, customer challenges, and business growth objectives.
  • Anticipate and operationalize emerging technologies—AI/ML, zero trust, cyber resilience, advanced analytics, and cloud-native architectures—to create differentiated offerings.

Drive Innovation and Technical Differentiation

  • Lead a continuous innovation lifecycle spanning internal R&D, product development, and strategic technology investments.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies, industry trends, and disruptive capabilities to keep the sector ahead of evolving threats and customer demands.
  • Champion rapid prototyping, experimentation, and scalable deployment of next-gen solutions.

Win the Most Important Missions

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of solution architects responsible for designing winning technical strategies for priority bids.
  • Review and approve solutioning strategy for all sector bids
  • Personally engage in shaping technical solutions for strategic pursuits, ensuring clear differentiation and mission relevance.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and modern engineering practices to elevate solution quality, speed, and innovation.

Invest in What’s Next

  • Own and prioritize the sector’s technology investment portfolio, including internal R&D, product innovation, and vendor pilots.
  • Partner with Peraton Labs to accelerate transition of cutting-edge research into operational capabilities.

Build a Connected Innovation Ecosystem

  • Drive collaboration across Peraton to scale capabilities, accelerate tech transfer, and enable enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Establish and grow strategic partnerships with leading technology providers, startups, universities and mission-focused innovators.

Be a Recognized Thought Leader

  • Represent Peraton as a trusted voice in cyber, intelligence, and information warfare across key customer engagements and major industry forums.
  • Influence the broader technology landscape through insights, innovation, and mission impact.

Enable Growth Across the Business Lifecycle

  • Partner with growth teams to shape technology strategies, strategic alliances, M&A evaluations, and compelling business cases.
  • Ensure strong alignment between technology investments and measurable mission and financial outcomes.

Build and Inspire a World-Class Technology Organization

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing technical workforce across programs and growth initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.

This is more than a CTO role—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of cyber and intelligence capabilities at national scale. You will define how advanced technologies are brought to bear against the most complex security challenges, while building a culture and ecosystem that continuously delivers innovation, speed, and mission advantage

Qualifications
  • 18+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior leadership roles supporting national security missions (Intel, DHS CISA, DoD, or equivalent).
