Peraton is seeking a talented Cloud Software Engineer to join our high-impact Cyber Mission team in Annapolis Junction, MD.
In this role, you’ll help build and enhance innovative products that transform manual processes into powerful automated solutions—freeing mission customers to focus on their most critical and complex challenges. As part of a collaborative, forward-leaning team, you’ll work within an Agile environment and leverage DevOps practices to deliver high-quality, reliable software that directly supports essential national security missions. Active TS/SCI with current polygraph (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (Math, IS, Engineering, etc.). A qualifying degree may count as 2 years of experience.
2+ years of software development experience, including requirements analysis, development, installation, testing, enhancement, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, JUnit.
Proficiency with Git/GitLab.
Full-stack development experience (Java + JavaScript).
Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue.js).
Working knowledge of JSON, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/ELK, Redis, Docker, and container orchestration (Docker Swarm or Kubernetes).
Familiarity with AWS and modern DevOps tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
Cloud/DevOps certifications such as:
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
