About The Role

Peraton is seeking to hire an experienced Configuration/Asset Manager for its' Regional Cyber Center-Europe program. 

 

Location: On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany

 

Potential 2nd/3rd Shift work required

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate records of all hardware, software, and network configuration items (CIs) across the RCC-E operational environment
  • Conduct hardware and software asset tracking throughout the full asset lifecycle — from procurement and deployment through maintenance and disposal — in compliance with Army property accountability and DoD asset management policies
  • Establish and maintain configuration baselines for servers, network devices, and end-user systems, performing periodic configuration audits to identify and remediate unauthorized changes or deviations from approved baselines
  • Support the Change Management process by reviewing change requests, assessing configuration impact, and maintaining accurate records of approved changes to the RCC-E IT environment
  • Track IAVA and patch compliance status across managed assets, coordinating with system administrators and network engineers to ensure timely remediation and producing compliance reports for government leadership
  • Contribute to RMF documentation efforts by maintaining accurate system inventory data, supporting the development of System Security Plans (SSPs), and providing configuration evidence for ATO package submissions

Qualifications

Required: 

  • 5 years of Configuration Management and IT asset management experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; 11 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree
  • Must meet TESA Qualifications.
  • DoD 8140 - IT (Systems Administration) - Intermediate
  • Certifications — must hold active certifications (one of the following):
    • CompTIA Linux+
    • ITIL Foundation Certification (v3 or higher)
  • 2 years CM design, implementation, and asset management experience
  • 2 years U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN systems experience
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance or higher

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB for configuration item management, relationship mapping, and asset lifecycle tracking
  • Familiarity with ACAS/Nessus for vulnerability scanning and integration with asset inventory and compliance workflows
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM for software inventory, patch deployment tracking, and hardware asset discovery
  • Working knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 processes including Change Management, Incident Management, and Configuration Management
  • Understanding of DoD RMF processes and experience supporting ATO documentation with configuration management artifacts
  • Experience conducting configuration audits and producing compliance reports for DoD or Army IT environments
  • Familiarity with DISA STIG requirements and automated compliance scanning tools (SCAP Compliance Checker)
  • Experience with asset management in an OCONUS Army or DoD environment

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
