Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. As a Construction Technician Inspector, you’ll lead a team of construction technicians, overseeing and inspecting FAA or subcontractor work that directly supports upgrades to the National Airspace System (NAS)—the backbone of U.S. aviation.
In this position, you will:
Perform inspections and quality surveillances based on FAA and project training standards.
Oversee and inspect subcontractor construction work, auditing quality records and ensuring contract compliance.
Implement and document inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures, reporting clear and accurate results.
Plan and execute evaluations and tests, including equipment set-up and readiness.
Evaluate inspection results for validity and recommend improvements where needed.
Lead first-article and in-process inspections, including source inspections when required.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
Provide technical guidance to QC inspectors, participating in their training, qualification, and certification.
Communicate inspection outcomes and issues clearly across diverse teams and management levels.
Maintain awareness of contract requirements and ensure subcontractor adherence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, management, and FAA stakeholders to resolve quality or process issues.

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years working as a construction inspector with government facilities experience .
Hands-on experience with advanced inspection tools (e.g., laser scanning, drones for site inspections, or digital quality management systems).
Knowledge of construction codes and regulatory standards such as OSHA, ASME, AISC, NEC, and NFPA.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications across multiple disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse professionals.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and presentation.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Access.
Experience using software to document, analyze, and retain quality records.
