Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.
About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer Level 3 to provide comprehensive cloud software research, development, and engineering services. This role is central to our mission of building and sustaining robust, large-scale distributed systems. You will lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial requirements analysis and system design to integration, testing, and long-term enhancement of mission-critical cloud applications.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Design and Development:

 

  • Full-Stack Engineering: Deliver end-to-end software services including requirements analysis, installation, evaluation, and issue resolution.
  • System Enhancement: Proactively diagnose complex technical issues and develop sustainable enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Distributed Computing: Design and implement solutions utilizing massively parallel computation models and NoSQL architectures to handle large-scale data sets.
  • Integration & Testing: Develop and implement rigorous test plans and scripts; integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products to meet unique project requirements.
  • Technical Documentation: Generate high-quality technical documents, ontologies, and data models to support project transparency and long-term maintainability.

 

Testing and Deployment:

  • Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Deploy and maintain the web application in a production environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
  • Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years in software development/engineering across the full SDLC.
  • At least six (6) years of experience with high-level languages (e.g., Java, C, C++).
  • At least five (5) years developing software for UNIX/Linux (specifically RedHat versions) environments.
  • Demonstrated ability in the requirements analysis and design of at least one major Object-Oriented system.

Details

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
