About The Role

Peraton is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient professional for the key position of Host Nation Liaison and Cyberspace Operations Support. This hybrid role is essential for synchronizing cyberspace operations between the United States Forces Korea (USFK) Joint Cyberspace Center (JCC) and its Republic of Korea (ROK) military partners. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of deep technical knowledge in cyberspace operations, proven language proficiency in both English and Korean, and demonstrated experience navigating complex military and inter-agency environments. You will be responsible for acting as a critical bridge, translating complex technical concepts, and facilitating seamless collaboration to advance the U.S.-ROK Alliance's defensive posture in the cyberspace domain.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between USFK JCC and ROK military counterparts, facilitating clear communication and synchronizing operations among multiple lateral and horizontal organizations.
  • Clearly communicate complex cyberspace operations concepts, plans, and technical details in both Korean and English (spoken and written) to diverse audiences.
  • Prepare and brief senior military and civilian personnel from both the U.S. and ROK on cyberspace operations, intelligence, and planning efforts.
  • Apply a wide and complete understanding of the principles, theories, and concepts of cyberspace operations to support joint planning, exercises, and real-world missions.
  • Work on multiple fast-paced projects, demonstrating a willingness and ability to aggressively learn the activities and strategic focus of the organization within a dynamic team environment.
  • Support the integration of ROK and coalition partner equities into bilateral and multinational cyberspace exercises and operational plans.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, International Relations)
  • Three plus years of experience in cyberspace operations
  • Communicate with and synchronize operations among multiple lateral and horizontal organizations, including US and Korean military, federal agency and civilian organizations.
  • Mandatory Language Proficiency: Must meet one of the following standards:
    • Defense Language Institute (DLI) qualification level of 2/2/2 (Comprehension/Reading/Speaking) in Korean.
    • Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Level 3.
    • Proof of native fluency in Korean.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DoDD 8570/8140) certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience briefing senior military and civilian personnel.
  • Must possess strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-tempo team environment and possess a strong desire to learn and adapt.
  • The ideal candidate must possess demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.  Candidates should also have proven experience and/or relevant education specifically related to working within the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) area of responsibility.  Familiarity with the unique geopolitical, social, and cultural dynamics of the USINDOPACOM region is essential for successfully performing in this role.

Travel:

  • This position requires regular travel. The candidate may expect to travel 2-4 times per month within South Korea and 1-2 times per year for international engagements.

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
