Facilities Engineer – Telecom Team

We’re seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our Telecom team in Bethesda. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping the infrastructure that powers our nation’s air traffic management running flawlessly.
What You’ll Do:
Infrastructure Management: Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities—including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and site security—to ensure near-perfect uptime.
System Installation & Maintenance: Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling.
Power Systems Oversight: Maintain and troubleshoot critical DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups to support mission-critical operations.

Basic Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor’s degree + 12 years experience, Master’s + 10 years, Associate’s + 14 years, or High School diploma + 16 years relevant experience.
Strong expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards.
Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.
Background in physical security standards for facilities.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FAA programs, NAS systems, or air traffic control environments.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications in facility/building management.
Familiarity with sustainable building practices, LEED standards, or energy-efficient systems.
Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
