About The Role

Peraton is seeking a highly detail-oriented FOIAA Redaction Analyst to support a sensitive Intelligence Community customer onsite in McLean, Virginia.

This role supports high-visibility government operations by ensuring sensitive information is properly protected prior to authorized release. The ideal candidate brings experience reviewing classified or sensitive government records, applying disclosure guidance, and maintaining strict compliance with federal privacy and classification requirements.

This position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in environments involving senior government leadership, high-visibility initiatives, and sensitive mission activities.

This is an opportunity to work directly within the Intelligence Community environment supporting mission-critical records review and disclosure operations where precision, accountability, and sound judgment are essential.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct detailed line-by-line reviews of sensitive government documents to identify classified information, personally identifiable information PIII), and other protected content requiring redaction.
  • Apply redactions in accordance with Executive Order 13526, the Freedom of Information Act FOIAA), the Privacy Act of 1974, Title VII, and customer-specific disclosure guidance.
  • Document and justify redaction decisions using appropriate exemption authorities and classification rationale.
  • Prepare documents and investigative materials for authorized release while ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations and customer policies.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and organization of disclosure review activities and case files.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures SOPss) supporting redaction and disclosure review operations.
  • Contribute to compliance reporting, workflow metrics, and operational status reporting as required by the Government.
  • Safeguard sensitive government and personal information in accordance with privacy, security, and classification standards.
  • Support projects involving high-visibility government stakeholders and sensitive operational environments.
Qualifications

Required

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 11+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, and redacting sensitive U.S. Government records or classified materials.
  • Familiarity with FOIA, Privacy Act, and classification review processes.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro or comparable document review and redaction tools.
  • Strong understanding of document handling procedures and disclosure review principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and defensible redaction justifications.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate professionally and confidently in environments involving senior government leadership, high-visibility initiatives, and sensitive mission activities.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense customers.
  • Background in disclosure review, investigative file review, records management, legal support, or information governance.
  • Paralegal training or experience supporting legal or compliance functions.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
