Enterprise analysis, software tools, and data services to support quantitative reporting and analytical solutions, helping to deliver high-quality data for the customer. About The Role

 

are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to support enterprise network and endpoint services under the SEC’s ISS program. This role partners closely with the Infrastructure Manager and technical leads to oversee endpoint operations, maintain network availability, coordinate outage response, and ensure all services align with SEC OIT standards and mission objectives.

 

This program provides comprehensive enterprise IT services supporting the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Office of Information Technology (OIT). The team delivers end-to-end customer service and infrastructure support across SEC headquarters, regional offices, data centers, and cloud environments. Our mission is to provide modern, reliable, and secure IT solutions that strengthen confidence in SEC technology operations.

 

What will you do:

 

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of SEC endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, virtual workstations, mobile devices) to ensure reliable performance and seamless user experience.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft Intune and other MDM platforms for device policies, application deployments, compliance baselines, and secure service integration.
  • Lead packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of desktop and mobile enterprise applications, ensuring compatibility with SEC images, GPOs, and configuration standards.
  • Monitor endpoint and network performance; proactively identify issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage Quality of Service (QoS) operations, including outage response, recovery coordination, communications, and post-incident analysis.
  • Operate and maintain Cisco-based WAN/LAN/WLAN and VoIP environments, including network appliances, wireless access points, VPN services, softphones, and conferencing systems.
  • Oversee patching, update management, and vulnerability remediation for Windows, macOS, and iOS endpoints.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation—topology diagrams, configuration artifacts, SOPs, and technical procedures.
  • Manage DNS servers and ensure secure, reliable connectivity between SEC on-premises and cloud environments.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR 12 years with a HS Degree/Diploma
  • 8+ years supporting enterprise network and endpoint environments.
  • 5+ years leading endpoint engineering and/or network operations in large federal or enterprise settings.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, WAN/LAN/WLAN).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Intune, MDM platforms, GPO management, and enterprise software deployment.
  • Experience supporting VoIP, VPN, remote access, and conferencing systems.
  • Knowledge of patching and vulnerability remediation across Windows, macOS, and iOS.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, federal security frameworks, and NIST 800-53.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with technical teams and federal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance. 

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Administrator, Security+
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • Experience with Cisco wireless controllers, firewalls, and network appliances
  • Knowledge of endpoint automation tools (Intune, SCCM, PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with network/endpoint monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Splunk).
  • Experience supporting enterprise mobile platforms, secure provisioning, and policy management.
  • Knowledge of modern networking technologies, including SD-WAN.

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
