We are seeking highly cleared professionals who excel at the intersection of advanced communications infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission assurance—where reliability, security, and performance are paramount.

 

Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Maintenance Technician – SME to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina.

 

As a Maintenance Technician SME, you will serve as the senior technical authority for facility systems and infrastructure, providing expert guidance and hands-on leadership to ensure reliable facility operations.

  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across all facility support functions, ensuring reliable operation of infrastructure and technical environments
  • Establish and uphold standards and best practices for maintenance execution, safety, and security integration
  • Serve as the primary technical authority on complex facility systems (e.g., environmental controls, power distribution, fire suppression), advising leadership on performance, sustainment, and resilience
  • Lead facility monitoring and preventive/predictive maintenance programs to ensure continuous operational readiness
  • Support COOP-related activities, aligning maintenance operations with continuity and mission requirements
  • Conduct facility assessments and inspections, identifying risks and maintenance gaps; recommend and support mitigation actions
  • Provide technical oversight of vendors and subcontractors, ensuring work meets required standards
  • Support planning and execution of maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, minimizing mission disruption
  • Advise leadership on facility requirements, system improvements, and lifecycle sustainment strategies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and security requirements
  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and system status to support operational awareness and decision-making
  • Perform additional duties as required to support facility operations success
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in facility management or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level;
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with a BS/BA degree or 6 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 3 years’ experience with a Ph.D. or 12 years’ experience w/o a degree or 10 years’ experience with AS/AA
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship is required 

Desired Qualifications:

  • OSHA certification 

Work Environment:

  • Location: Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina.
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
  • Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
