About The Role

Peraton is seeking to hire an experienced Network Administration Support person for its' Regional Cyber Center-Europe program

 

Location: On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany

Shift work - 2nd and 3rd shift - possible

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise routers and switches across RCC-E network infrastructure, ensuring devices are operating within established performance baselines and in compliance with DISA STIG requirements
  • Manage VLAN architecture across the enterprise, including VLAN creation, trunking configuration, spanning tree optimization, and inter-VLAN routing to support network segmentation and security requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Access Control Lists (ACLs) and firewall policies on network devices, enforcing traffic filtering rules in accordance with approved security policies and change management procedures
  • Perform network troubleshooting and fault isolation for connectivity issues reported by end users and system administrators, utilizing packet capture tools, protocol analyzers, and network management systems to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation including device configurations, network diagrams, IP address management records, and change logs in accordance with Army configuration management standards
  • Process and implement network change requests through the Army change management process, coordinating with the NOC, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to ensure changes are executed safely and with minimal service impact

Qualifications

Minimum requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM/Business Admin) and 8 year of years relevant experience, or
    • Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or
    • An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of the degree requirement
    • Must meet TESA qualifications
  • DoW 8140 - IT (Network Operations Specialist) - Advanced
  • Certifications — must hold one active certification (one of the following):
    • CCNA; OR
    • CCNP Security — any track; OR
    • JNCIS (Juniper Networks Certified Specialist)
  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networks
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience with U.S. military command/control systems or commercial LAN/WAN environments
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active DoW Secret security clearance

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE CLI for router and switch configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Juniper JunOS platform administration and configuration
  • Familiarity with OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocol configuration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of 802.1X port-based authentication and Cisco ISE integration for network access control
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent) for device health and availability monitoring
  • Familiarity with DISA STIG requirements for network infrastructure devices and automated compliance scanning
  • Experience with ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceNow or Remedy) for incident and change management workflows
  • Knowledge of IPv6 addressing, dual-stack configuration, and transition technologies in enterprise networks

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
