Program Overview
Nationwide program dedicated to maintaining IT infrastructure operations across TSA. Contract supports all US airports and 30+ US Embassy/Consulates international sites across 30 different countries where TSA is present
About The Role

Peraton is seeking an Operations Director to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a large, geographically dispersed team of specialists supporting the IT infrastructure of the Transportation Security Agency (TSA), ensuring it operates efficiently and cost-effectively, allowing users continuous access to business applications, information, and services.  

 

As the Operations Director you will proactively direct activities at TSA sites in CONUS and internationally, including TSA HQ, operations centers, data centers, airports, international offices and cloud environments. You will collaborate with TSA IT Service Management to execute Event and Incident Response, Problem Resolution, and Change Management processes in alignment with TSA policies and processes.  You will act upon user feedback and lessons learned to drive continuous service improvement.  Your team will include the following key capabilities: Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of deployed TSA systems and environments, End User Support, including Help Desk, Engineering, Information Assurance, and Security, including Cyber Security.  You will manage subcontractor resources, scheduling, and training to maintain contractual performance obligations.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a large, geographically dispersed team of IT Services delivery professionals including system administrators, network engineers, and subject matter experts.
  • Maintain a secure communications infrastructure that facilitates the transfer of data within the TSA and between the TSA and other agencies and enables TSA to respond to emerging threats.
  • Direct O&M of deployed capabilities, to include hardware & software upgrades, equipment replacements, configuration changes and application upgrades/enhancements
  • Ensure continuous service delivery against SLAs, supporting SLA analysis, remediation and reporting.
  • Maintain a mature IT Cybersecurity practice across the program, including Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) analyses, management, and remediation, ensuring compliance with TSA IT Security policy and procedures.
  • Perform Problem/Incident management including root cause analysis
  • Support the submission of contract deliverables including CDRLs.
  • Perform Asset Management, supporting audits as required
  • Perform Change Management, executing projects to introduce new capabilities in response to technology advances and new threats.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • 16 years of management experience in a government contracting environment,
  • 6 years of experience managing teams of IT professionals in support of large, complex IT infrastructures including computer, network, communications, hardware & software technologies.
  • Previous experience interfacing with any Federal Agency ITSM operations and IT leadership.
  • ITIL4 Certification
  • U.S Citizenship required
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • PMI PMP certification
  • Demonstrated experience of successful engagement with customer senior leadership in a Federal Agency
  • Familiarity with TSA IT Infrastructure standards and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a complex environment.
  • Business expertise and knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
  • Excellent communication skills - able to run effective meetings with O&M staff, project teams and the TSA.
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and proactive interactions
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
