Program Overview
Nationwide program dedicated to maintaining IT infrastructure operations across TSA. Contract supports all US airports and 30+ US Embassy/Consulates international sites across 30 different countries where TSA is present
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a PMO Leader to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer.  The PMO Leader is responsible for establishing, leading, and managing the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure successful delivery of strategic programs and projects across the organization. This role provides governance, oversight, and alignment of project initiatives with organizational goals. The PMO Leader will drive consistency in project execution, optimize resource allocation, enforce standard methodologies, and provide visibility into program performance for executive leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • PMO Strategy & Leadership
    • Define and implement the vision, mission, and operating model of the PMO.
    • Develop and enforce PMO policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership regarding program priorities, risks, and resourcing.

 

  • Program & Project Governance
    • Supports the Project Engineering Divsision Key Personnel by providing oversight of the portfolio of projects ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
    • Establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms for project delivery.
    • Conduct regular reviews of program status, risks, and deliverables to ensure accountability and transparency.

 

  • Resource & Financial Management
    • Optimize allocation of people, budget, and technology resources across programs.
    • Partner with Finance and HR to manage staffing forecasts, budget planning, and cost control.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of resources to achieve maximum ROI.

 

  • Methodology & Standards
    • Define and maintain standardized project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
    • Provide tools, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency in delivery.
    • Drive continuous improvement of project management processes.

 

  • Leadership & People Development
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of program/project managers.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
    • Provide training and professional development opportunities for PMO staff and project managers across the enterprise.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, with significant experience leading PMOs or large portfolios.
  • 5 years of experience integrating and managing service management processes and procedures in a multi-vendor environment
  • PMP Certification or must be able to obtain certification within three months
  • Strong understanding of program/project management methodologies, governance, and tools.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive change.
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
